Brief Information
The barrel is a prop in the shape of a rusty corrugated steel drum found on a large number of maps. Players can pick up and subsequently throw the barrel with either the Fire or Interact keys. While held, it lacks collision with players or other props.
When thrown, the barrel hits opponents it comes into contact with for knockback and 25 damage, as well as disarming them and bouncing off. Despite crumpling when shot, the barrel does not stop a majority of hitscan weapons and cannot be relied on for cover.
